Where I Work

Spring is here, but the days are still chill.....

Work is ramping up to the crazy busy selling season...all of three weeks long.

Seven seasons at this job. I think this may be the last. I feel 'done.' Also, I feel the need for year-round employment, health insurance and (gasp!) retirement benefits. Just another change amongst so many happening in 2009......

I totally understand. I was a rag tag, bohemian artist for 20 years. I took day jobs as needed. Finally, it felt like I was going nowhere fast. I didn't have any savings, credit cards, benefits, health insurance, stuff, etc. I finally did the dirty deed and signed on full time. It has worked out just fine. I am still a working artist, I have lots more stuff (including insurance) and have more money for art supplies.
We all have to make choices and consider what we want in life. I made mine and I am sticking to it.

Construction won't stop me either. I may rent a cyclocross bike instead of a road bike though. We'll figure out the day as it gets closer. Should be fun.
