Eero at the summit. There couldn't be a picture of us together, because there was absolutely nothing to set the camera on up there in the high country!
The tour went through Alaska, Yukon Territory and British Columbia. I got a stamp in my passport at one customs crossing. I've had that dang thing for years and this was my first stamp.
Sheila at White Pass---elevation 3,000+ ft above sea level. The day from Carcross to Skagway was brutal: 50 miles climbing into the pass into a hard headwind. I don't think I've ever had a more difficult day on the bike. We were wind and sunburned and exhausted when we finally arrived in Skagway. Every mile was hard won. All day, we thought about cheeseburgers, fries and Guinness.....which was dinner! It was a good reward.
Camping at Mosquito Lake......not as bad as it's name implied.
Refueling in Skagway. Hearty breakfasts were a must on this tour!
